  • The Welcome potluck for the interns will be held at the March 5th chapter meeting, starting at 6:15.
  • The Northwest Native Tree and Plant Sale will be held Saturday, March 12th at the Bales Thriftway in Aloha.

  • The membership directory will be sent electronically this weekend. Members who haven’t renewed won’t be included.
  • Sal Bianco reported on the upcoming raffle that will be held at the April plant sale. Last year the raffle raised $280. This year they will include 25 tickets for $20.
  • Kimberly Culbertson informed that we currently have 3000+ plants for the sale. This is not including annuals that will be coming in. She needs volunteers to sign up to help set up and organize plants on Friday, plus help is needed Saturday for setup, cashiers, hospitality and answering questions on Saturday.
  • Bill Klug needs help managing the Garden Thyme event during the Washington County Fair July 28th to 31st. He is looking for three coordinators to:
  • Be a resource person
  • Manage the Cervais account for working at the fair and the kids zone
  • Manage parking passes; mailing to the volunteers the week before the fair
  • What’s New: Jean Natter – the phone clinic is currently running half shifts due to lack of volunteers; there are 17 openings for March. She provided updates on the winter cutworm and lesser Celandine; both problems this year. See the March 2016 Master Gardener Newsletter for more details.
  • Education Credit – Tonight’s talk will count for 1 hour of continuing (recertification) credit.
