Scott Fly Rod Company

The Scott Fly Rod Company announces the introduction of the E2 series of freshwater fly rods at the Fly Tackle Retailer World Expo.

E2 rods are fast action and feature Scott’s new 42Msi modulus carbon fiber, ARC reinforcements, and new hand fit sleeve over ferrules.

This results in rods that are very lightweight (an E2 905/4 weighs less than 3 ounces) and have very high tracking stability.

Components are best of class with proprietary machined REC up-locking reel seats and extra select Bocote wood spacers. Hard chrome snakes and SiC stripping guides round out the package.

True to the deep traditions of American rod building, each E2 is hand crafted by fly fishers in Montrose, Colorado.

E2 rods are designed for the growing number of anglers who are ready to upgrade the performance and quality of their fly rods, and who now need a rod with greater versatility and range.

E2 rods come in line weights 3 through 8, in 2 or 4 pieces, and in lengths from 7.5 feet to 9.5 feet. Suggested retail prices are from $425 to $475.

G2 THE LEGACY LIVES ON

September 8, 2005 (Montrose, Colo.)– Scott Fly Rod Company announces the introduction of the G2 line of high performance presentation fly rods. After more than 30 years of building the world’s benchmark presentation rods, Scott has redesigned and updated the G series. The new G2 rods are designed for the most demanding technical trout fishing.

The G series is the single longest-lived rod line in history; with such deep roots and traditions Scott would not introduce a ‘new and improved’ series of rods if they really didn’t raise the bar.

Werner Catsman, Scott’s General Manager (Director of all things Scott), states, “Fifteen years ago I was introduced to my first G-series. Needless to say, the rod changed my fishing and my life. The G-series has been such an important part of our company that we would have never considered adding a two on it if we didn’t honestly believe that we had a rod worthy of the G-series’ heritage.”

Catsman continues, “With G2, we have lightened the tips and balanced the blanks, making them, the smoothest rods we have ever cast or fished. Like its predecessor, the G2 is built for the most challenging trout fishing around-from turning over 14’ leaders, to protecting 6X and getting the perfect stack mend, these rods do it all. The natural finish on the blank provides consistency and toughness, while measuring wraps and alignment dots add features all anglers can appreciate. G-series fans and expert trout anglers are guaranteed to fall in love!”
