Linear Functions, Systems of Equations

Understanding definition of lines.Different forms of linear equations, different ways to graph lines. Understanding systems of linear equations, how to solve systems and what the solution represents.

Solving Quadratic Equations & Factoring Techniques

Standard form of quadratic equations, when and different ways to solve.Other important factoring techniques.

Unit Circle, Pythagorean Identities

Setting up the unit circle, finding the angles, building the Pythagorean identities.

Completing the Square

How to complete the square, using it to solve quadratic equations.Derivation of the quadratic formula.

Completing the Square (Review) Graphing: Parabolas

Practicing CTS, using it to put quadratic functions into vertex form. Different forms of quadratic functions, graphing parabolas from these different forms.

Limits & Continuity

Definition of limits, understanding limits. Finding limits by looking at function graphs. Continuous functions and different types of discontinuities.

Integrals & Area (Repeated Workshop)

Idea of an integral.The difference between antiderivatives and integrals, the difference between definite and indefinite integrals. Finding the area under a curve.

Properties & Solving: Exponents/ Logarithms

Relationship between exponential and logarithmic equations.Properties of exponents and using them to solve exponential equations.Properties of logarithms and how to solve equations with logs.

Domain and Range

Understanding domain and range, how to find them by looking at a graph or from a given equation.Different kinds of domain restrictions, preserving domain.

Graphing: Exponential & Logarithmic Functions

Tips on how to graph exponential and logarithmic functions by looking at the equation.

Derivatives & Rates of Change

Limit definition of derivative and understanding the derivative as a rate of change and slope of the tangent line. Difference between average rate of change and instantaneous rate of change.

Unit Circle (Review) , Verifying Trig Identities

Brief review of the unit circle workshop, practice verifying trig identities and helpful strategies to keep in mind while solving those problems.

Inverse Trig Functions, Solving Trig Equations

The difference between trig functions and inverse (arc) trig functions.Solving trig equations and using the unit circle to find solutions.

Antiderivatives & Integrals

How to take the antiderivative.Idea of an integral.The difference between antiderivatives and integrals. Practice with integration.

Graphing: Miscellaneous (Rational, Polynomials, Radical)

How to graph polynomials, rational functions radical functions, from their standard forms.

Related Rates

Practice with related rates problems, and seeing the derivative as a rate of change.

Practice with optimization problems, and understanding some applications.

Practice with finding derivatives of various functions to review chain rule, product & quotient rule, power rule, etc.
