a. Include information about what tools/strategies you intend to use to collect and analyze data and/or how you will collect and analyze resources or literature. Please note that if you will be conducting research with human subjects, you must have approval from the Research Ethics Board (REB) (www.nait.ca/reb) desgined as part of your project. If this is the case, please schedule time in your planning in order to seek approval. (Please note: You do not need REB approval before you apply for the NAIT SoTL Grant.)

6a. PROPOSED BUDGET
Release time costs:
Please discuss with your program chair how much it would cost your program to release you from the requested amount of teaching duties. Please note that program chairs of successful grant winners will need to account in detail for how the budget for staffing costs is spent.
Material costs:
Material costs might include any additional materials, software purchase, etc. that fall outside the regular overhead costs of your program. Small gifts for your research participants may be budgeted.
Dissemination costs:
Dissemination costs include conference attendance. Please note that you will be allowed to go only if your paper proposal is accepted. Other dissemination costs could, for instance, include the creation of a research poster, which is approximately $50.00. All proposed costs must be backed up by reasoning and, in the case of software purchase etc., by evidence of current and fair market prices.
