BETA NO1 CASE HARDENING COMPOUND
SUGGESTED METHOD FOR USES
PLACE THE COMPONENT IN A SUITABLY SIZED BOX AND FILL THE BOX WITH BETA NO1 WITH ENOUGH POWDER TO COVER THE WORKPIECE.
PLACE IN AN OVEN AT 600-700 CENTIGRADE. FOR AT LEAST 4 HOURS.
ALTERNATIVELY HEAT THE COMPONENT TO A DULL RED HEAT AND ROLL IT IN THE POWDER UNTIL IT IS UNIFORMLY COATED. THIS METHOD IS NOT AS EFFECTIVE AS THE OVEN METHOD SO YOU MAY NEED TO REPEAT THE PROCESS TO ACHIEVE THE DESIRED RESULTS.
PLEASE READ THE H&S LEAFLET.

when heated to red hot. It is essential to ensure adequate extraction of vapours
under these conditions.
4.First aid measures
Inhalation:Remove from exposure to fresh air, keep warm and at rest. Get medical attention for any breathing difficulties.
Skin:Wash off skin thoroughly with soap and water.
Eyes:Irrigate thoroughly with water for at least 10 minutes, lifting upper and lower eyelids occasionally. Get medical attention if irritation persists.
Ingestion:Wash mouth out thoroughly and give plenty of water to drink.
5.Fire fighting measures
Hazards:Although product is non flammable, when heated to decomposition or on contact with acids or acid fumes, product may emit toxic and flammable fumes of cyanide.
Extinguishing media:Use any means suitable for extinguishing surrounding fire.
