Marketing Officer | Legal-Island

Legal-Island is seeking to employ a Marketing Officer to join their Marketing and Sales Team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementinga wide range of marketing disciplines within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Full training will be provided, but a basic understanding of working in a marketing environment would be beneficial.

Ideally, you will have previous experience of delivering digital marketing campaigns using a variety of tools including websites, emails, videos and social media. Excellent copywriting skills with demonstrable experience in creating engaging content for a range of media (website, email marketing, videos, social media etc.).You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of hierarchy.

Working under the management of the Marketing & Sales Projects Manager, you will work closely with the Conferencing, Learning & Development and Customer Service departments.Therefore, strong interpersonal skills are essential, as is having a positive attitude to your work and to those around you.

Job Title: Marketing Officer

Responsible to: Marketing & Sales Projects Manager

Supervisory Responsibility: None, however you must show commitment to work alongside individuals in other departments

Salary: £18,500+ benefits

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm (35 hours per week)

Location: Legal-Island, Island House, Station Road, Antrim, BT41 1BH

Main Duties:

  • Development and implementation of marketing campaigns for Legal-Island’s events, employment law hub and eLearning across both Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland.
  • Optimising website content to facilitate an increase in high-quality traffic from search engines.
  • Creation and publication of engaging content across a range of marketing platforms, including the production and editing of videos.
  • Analysis and reporting of marketing statistics including data on sales, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, MailChimp etc.
  • Assisting in the management of third party suppliers including digital agency, graphic design, printers, exhibitors and, at times, speakers and authors.
  • Marketing software administration and development, including marketing automation sequences.
  • Assisting other departments where required.

Criteria / Essential / Desirable
Knowledge /
  • 3 A Levels or equivalent with GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics at grade C or above
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
  • Basic understanding of online marketingplatforms and concepts such as website and social media

  • 3rd level qualification in a marketing or business related subject
  • Basic understanding of how to optimise a webpage for search engines

Experience /
  • 1+ year of experienceworking in a successful team within an office environment
  • Proven experience of working to a given brief, to a tight timeframe and with excellent results
/
  • 1+ years’ experience in a similar marketing role (university placement year acceptable)
  • Copywriting experience for websites
  • Experience using a CMS to maintain and optimise a website
  • Previous experience of delivering digital marketing campaigns
