Approval of minutes: Minutes from 2-24-15, were approved without modification.
Business:
· Cristina Chiappe briefed the board on the White House SES Advisory Council that was announced on December 9, 2014 to strengthen the SES & Federal workforce. She noted that the Council had divided into 4 subcommittees: recruitment, hiring, retention, and restoring the value of public service. Council due dates were shared as follows: May 15 for subcommittee recommendations; week of June 1 for full Advisory Group meeting to discuss recommendations; week of July 1 to revise recommendations for approval; and finally the Presidential memorndum will be issued announcing and implementing any changes.
o The ERB requested Ms. Chiappe return and keep them abreast of progress of the Council.
· James Brent: Virtual University briefed the group on the plan to hold SES and SL/ST Focus Groups to develop recommendations to assist in creating FY 2015 performance-based compensation guidelines for the ERB. The focus groups were created as a result of the ERB’s previous recommendation and announced by the Chair at the SES All Hands meeting held in March. Groups are slated to begin the first week of June.
