IMPORTANT INFORMATION

2017 – 2018 RESERVATION FORMS

Reservation forms for next school year will be MAILED home the week of February 13th to all students in grades K-5 currently attending Glenmoor. You will need to provide 2 proofs of residency as described in the post card you receive. Return the form to your child’s teacher or to the office in order to reserve a space at Glenmoor for the 2017-2018 school year by 3:30 on February 28, 2017.

Failure to return the form with the proper proofs will result in forfeiture of your child's spot at Glenmoor for the next year. Annual residency verification is District Mandated each year for ALL STUDENTS. Kindergarten through 5th grade students verify residency at the elementary school they currently attend.

7th Grade Registration Forms

Centerville will visit our six graders on
February 15, 2017 to talk to them about Centerville and what to expect in 7th grade. Students will be handed Centerville’s reservation forms to bring home and have parents fill out. They are to be returned to their teacher by March 4th with 2 proofs of residency as described on the form.

California Law (AB 354) requires an additional immunization called Tdap in order for your student to advance to/or enter 7th grade. The adolescent whooping cough/pertussis booster shot (Tdap) must be given on or after age 7 to meet this requirement. Valid proof must show: 1) type of shot given, 2) date, 3) provider’s signature/stamp. You can provide proof to your Elementary School Site up until the last day of school. If parents have not provided proof to their school by the first day of school, your student will NOT be allowed to attend.

TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN

On September 30, 2010, the Governor signed SB 1381 establishing the Kindergarten Readiness Act which changed the kindergarten entry age and established the Transitional Kindergarten Program. To qualify for TK, students must be 5 years old with birthdays between September 2, 2017 through December 1, 2017 for the 2017-2018 school year.
InFremont, we have established the “High Five” Transitional Kindergarten program. Students attending transitional kindergarten 2016-2017 school year will attend kindergarten 2017-2018 year at their home school. The curriculum is based on the California Preschool Learning Foundations and aligned with the Kindergarten Standards.
Online Enrollment and appointments for all other qualifying transitional kindergarten and kindergarten students begins February 15th through March 29, 2017 at the district office not the home school. Attendance in the Transitional Kindergarten Program is not required but is encouraged to help students succeed the following year in a traditional kindergarten classroom

PARENT SATISFACTION SURVEY

The annual Parent Satisfaction Survey for 2017 is now online. The feedback will directly contribute to Fremont Unified’s 2017-18 LCAP plan, as well as give us valuable information about parent engagement at district schools. The links below are the Spanish, English, and Chinese versions. The survey window will remain open through March 10, 2017. If you are unable to go online to fill out survey, forms can be picked up in the office.
