Each competitor on request will receive a free pass to the main show for the first class entered. For every further 2 classes entered another free pass will be issued.

ie 1 class = 1 pass, 3 classes = 2 passes, 5 classes = 3 passes etc.

Horses and ponies are to remain within the boundaries of the Horse Show. They are not permitted to be taken into the main Show Field unless prior permission is gained from the Horse Show Secretary.

It is a condition of entry that competitors have read, understood

& agree to abide by all the rules and regulations of the Cornwood Show.

HORSE SHOW RULES - further to the general show rules

1.The organisers of the Cornwood show will take all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone present must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers, officials and stewards.

2.The organisers of the Cornwood horse show hereby give notice that they will accept no liability for injury to a person or any animal or for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered by any competitor, exhibitor or exhibit in any horse jumping or showing competition or event. All such competitors take part at their own risk and before entering should inspect all course constructions of jumps or obstacles and ground conditions to ensure and satisfy themselves that they are safe.

3.Verbal or physical abuse toward any person or animal will not be tolerated and will lead to expulsion from the show and a life ban. This includes the misuse of whips and spurs as judged by the horse show secretary or judge.

4.Horse transport is to be parked where designated and moved immediately if required

5.It is a condition of entry that all persons whilst mounted wear fastened hard hats and purpose designed footwear conforming to British Safety Standards.

6.It is strongly recommended that leaders wear hard hats and purpose designed footwear conforming to British Safety Standards and body protectors be worn in all classes involving jumping and gymkhana activities.

7.Jackets to be worn in the show jumping rings unless permission from the judges is obtained.

8.Perpetual cups are to be returned in good condition by 30th July 2010.

9.No horse or pony under 4 years may be shown under saddle.

10.Riders in classes must be 3 years and over.

11.Only in show jumping classes may a competitor enter more than one mount.

Very safe and steady for any novice family member from toddler to grampy or suitable for RDA.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION PLEASE READ

The Cornwood horse show operates a class ticket system.

Advance entries will receive their competitor number/s and ticket/s by post and on show day need not come to the entry tent unless more tickets are required.

Advance entry forms are over leaf and all required information must be supplied.

Failure to provide all required information will result in your entry being retained until the information has been given.

Send to the Horse show Secretary, address above, with your payment, including the paramedic fee, cheques payable to The Cornwood Show and on the reverse include your name and address or the name and address of the cheque issuer if different from yours.

Advance entries accepted up until Wednesday 19th September.

Postal entries must arrive by Monday 17th September with an s.a.e. if they are to be returned to you. Any arriving without an s.a.e or after this date will be held in the entry tent for collection on show day, in which case please make your way to the front of the queue.

Though at present you can’t directly make entries on line, the forms are on our website and you may send all the information required via email in order for your entries to be prepared in advance & you can pay and collect on show day.

On The Day entrants should come to the entry tent to complete in full the entry form and be allocated competitor number/s.You then buy as many tickets as classes you wish to show in. Simply hand a ticket to the ring steward as you enter a class, we do not need to know which classes you wish to enter. Should you miss a class you are free to just go in another that you meet the criteria for.
