FUNDRAISING AND OPERATIONS MANAGER
Job Description
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To achieve income targets by identifying and securing opportunities and increasing profile. To manage the day to day running of the office and manage casework staff.

Director
DIRECT REPORTS:
Caseworkers ( currently 3)
SALARY:
£25,000
WORKING HOURS:
35(full-time)
CONTRACT:
Fixed term contract for 12 MONTHS.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Fundraising
- To develop and manage, in collaboration with the Director,an effective fundraising strategy.
- Work closely with the Director to ensure MRANG meets its financial targets and has a steady stream of funding.
- Maximise income across all fundraising activities to meet agreed targets. This will include identifying new funding opportunities and developing these into successful bids.
- Liaise, negotiate, prepare, finalise and submit grant applications to funding bodies, ensuring that they meet the grant criteria.
- Prepare and submit grant activity reports to all funding bodies in accordance with the grant criteria.
- Co-ordinate the collection of monitoring and evaluation data and its analysis for funding purposes.
- Create, manage and update a funding database to record donor contact and preference information.
- To plan and manage fundraising events.
- To oversee and manage donations, both financial and goods.
- To be responsible for Gift Aid.
Operations
- Manage day to day finances, including recording of all income and expenditure and petty cash.
- Be responsible for banking income and topping up petty cash.
- Make sure that all IT and communication systems are working effectively.
- Make sure all services paid for by MRANG are reviewed and are fairly priced.
- Support the Director to prepare and submit reports, business plans and evaluations or reviews.
- Working with the Director, analyse and review services to help improve them and to expand current services.
- Manage all social media including twitter, the website and Facebook.
- Ensure MRANG meets its health and safety requirements including its liability insurance.
Staff Management
- Provide monthly supervision, training needs analysis and annual appraisals for the casework team.
- Conduct monthly meetings for own team and attend management meetings.
- Manage staff in line with MRANG’s human resources policies and procedures.

Fundraising and Operations Manager
Person Specification
- At least 3 years’ experience of fundraising from a wide variety of sources.
- Experience of developing and implementing a fundraising and events strategy.
- Ability to project manage and contribute to all fundraising campaigns.
- Experience of evaluating projects, gaps in services, researching services and using this evaluation to write reports.
- Knowledge and understanding to ensure that MRANG complies with all relevant legislation relating to fundraising events e.g. Charity Commission, Institute of Fundraising etc.
- Evidence of developing and maintaining successful professional relationships at all levels.
- Ability to communicate complex issues across a variety of audiences/platforms.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation and communication skills.
- Experience of managing, developing and supervising staff and volunteers.
- Ability to manage finance systems, budgets and Gift Aid.
- Experience of co-ordinating social media activity to ensure content is relevant, in line with policies which iscreative and engaging.
- The ability to work within a team and on your own initiative.
- An understanding of and commitment to confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Solid IT skills, including competence with word processing, spreadsheets, database and email.
