SENSATIONAL HOUSE ROBBERY CASE OF LAJPAT NAGAR SOLVED

With the arrest of three persons namely (1) Rasil @ Mahboob S/o faizal R/o Vagabond, Nizamuddin Dargah, New Delhi, Age-18 Years (2) Md Saleem @ Raghu S/o Md Yasin R/o Nizamuddin Basti, New Delhi, Age-21 Years and (3) Md. Muftafa @ Vicky S/o Noorjamal R/o 114/89, Nizamnagar, H.N.Din, New Delhi, Age-23 Years the Special Staff of South East District has solved sensational case of house robbery of PS Lajpat Nagar.

INCIDENT

On 08.07.12, Sh. Akhlaq Ahmad Qureshi S/o Sh. Zamil Ahmad R/O H. No. B-82, Ground Floor, Lajpat Nagar-I, New Delhi reported in Police Station Lajpat Nagar that the intervening night of 07/08.07.2012, he was alone at his house. At about 01.30 AM when he was sleeping, four armed boys entered into his house after breaking the kitchen grill and overpowered him. They remained in house for more than one hour and looted cash Rs. 29,500/-, two wrist watch of Rolex and Reimond Wheel brands, three mobile phones and some other articles on gun point. On this, a case vide FIR No. 155/12, u/s 397/457/34 IPC was registered at PS Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi.

TEAM & INVESTIGATION:-

In order to solve this case a team of Special Staff South East District was specially tasked for it. In view of this, a team of Special Staff South East Distt was constituted under the leadership of Inspr. Rajesh Kumar, Incharge Special Staff consisting of SI Pappu Lal Katewa, SI Sandeep Godara, SI Bharat Singh, Head Constable Yashvir Singh, Tek Chand, Jeet Singh, Satender and Constable Satish Kumar, Sachin Balhara, Yasin Khan, Jaiveer, Pawan, Praveen, Roshan, Udai Singh and Ram Saran to develop intelligence regarding such gangs operating in Delhi. The team received some credible information regarding few criminals operating in South & South East Districts. The information was further developed. On the basis of a credible information, the above team arrested three persons namely (1) Rasil @ Mahboob S/o faizal R/o Vagabond, Nizamuddin Dargah, New Delhi, Age-18 Years (2) Md Saleem @ Raghu S/o Md Yasin R/o Nizamuddin Basti, New Delhi, Age-21 Years and (3) Md. Muftafa @ Vicky S/o noorjamal R/o 114/89, Nizamnagar, H.N.Din, New Delhi, Age-23 Years at near Nizamuddin Dargah, New Delhi.

INTERROGATION & MODUS OPERANDI:-

On sustained interrogation accused Mustaffa @ Vicky disclosed that he along with his associates namely Rasil @ Mahboob, Md Saleem @ Raghu and Md. Azhar (still absconding) hatched a plan to rob a house of a businessman at Lajpat Nagar area. Azhar did the work of POP in the same area some months back. After getting an information by Md. Azhar, they targeted the house of the victim and entered into his house after breaking the kitchen grill and overpowered him held hostage the victim on the gun point and ran sacked the house and fled with the looted articles with cash Rs.29,500/-.

Further they distribute the cash amongst themselves as well as other looted articles. Accused Md. Azhar is still absconding. Efforts are being made to nab him.

3. Two Knives.

4. Three Mobile Chargers.

5. Cloths and bags.

A GANG OF INTERSTATE AUTOLIFTERS BUSTED

Major Highlights:

· Two notorious auto lifters apprehended.

· Twelve stolen motorcycles recovered.

With the arrest of accused namely Sandeep S/o Sh. Deep Chand, aged 22 years and Manoj S/o Sh. Chanderpal Singh age 22years, South-East District has unearthed a crime syndicate indulged in illegal activities of auto lifting and disposing off stolen vehicles in Bulandshahar, UP.

INCIDENT

On 10.07.2012, a team comprising of HC Sharwan Kumar Ct. Parveen ,Ct. Manoj and Ct. Anuj of P.S. Pul Prahlad Pur was checking vehicles at Okhla T-Point, Lal Kuan, on M.B. Road, under the supervision of Inspector Dharamdev, SHO/Pul Prahladpur. At about 6.45 PM the team received a tip off that a Hero Honda Splender plus Motor cycle, without number plate, would come from Badarpur side via M.B. Road and would pass towards Mehrauli. The motor cycle was reported to be stolen from Delhi. On this information, a trap was laid by the staff at Okhla T-Point, Lal Kuan on M.B. Road. At about 7.00 PM, a motor cycle with similar specifications was noticed coming from Badarpur side. The motor cycle was signalled to stop but the driver speeded up the motor cycle to escape. Members of police party standing ahead immediately pushed barricades in the middle of road and succeeded in stopping the vehicle. Riders of the motor cycle were directed to furnish documents in respect of the motor cycle, which they were riding. But they could not produce any of such documents to the police party. On scrutiny of the official record, it was revealed that the said motor cycle was stolen vide FIR No.114/12, U/S 379 IPC, P.S. Jaitpur, New Delhi. Accordingly, both accused person were arrested vide D.D. No. 52B dated 10.07.2012 U/S 41.1(D) Cr.P.C., and subjected to sustained interrogation during which the accused informed that they used to steal the vehicles in bid to earn quick bucks.

Team and Operation

On receipt of the above information, the same was immediately communicated to Sh. Dharamveer Joshi, ACP/Ambedkar Nagar, who immediately constituted a team comprising of ASI Dilbag Singh, HC Sharwan Kumar, HC Naeem Ahmed, Ct. Parveen, Ct. Manoj and Ct. Anuj under the close supervision of Insp. Dharamdev, Station House Officer, PS Pul Prahladpur. On interrogation the accused informed that they used to steal the motor cycles particularly Hero Honda Splendor in bid to earn quick bucks.

MODUS OPERANDI:

The accused persons were put to sustained interrogation during which they disclosed that they belong to a poor family. Sandeep was not bright in his studies; hence, he left his education after 8th class. Thereafter, he started working as motor cycle mechanic. Meanwhile he fell in love with a girl of the same village and married with her. So, he was thrown out from his village. Thereafter, he resided alongwith his wife at Vijaynagar, Gaziabad (U.P.). There he came in contact with one Manoj and planned for stealing motor cycles to become rich. They had stolen about 25 motor cycles from the area of Delhi and NCR and sold the same to the people at Distt. Bulandshahar, U.P for small amount. Accused persons led the police party to different parts of Distt. Bulandshahar, U.P and got 11 more stolen motor cycles recovered. Thirteen cases of motor cycle thefts have been worked out so far.

AUTO LIFTER SANDEEP ARRESTED , 2 STOLEN MOTOR CYCLES RECOVERED

North District has arrested one auto lifter namely Sandeep Yadav s/o Kanhiya Lal r/o N 31/1, Shakti Appartment, near Railway line, Ahok Vihar, Delhi, aged 35 years and apprehended a juvenile in conflict with law. 02 stolen motor cycles have been recovered at his instance.

INCIDENT AND TEAM

On 11.07.2012, Constable Yoginder was on patrolling duty at Ganda Nala, Shastri Nagar, Delhi. At about 08.30 am, he noticed two persons, on a Hero Honda Splendor motor cycle bearing Reg. No. No DL 6S Q 5243, moving towards Ganda Nala from B-Block, Shastri Nagar. On noticing police presence, they tried to flee from the spot. Constable Yoginder immediately swung into action and detained them with the help of public. The pillion rider was found juvenile in conflict with law, while another person, who was driving motor cycle, was identified as Sandeep Yadav s/o Kahiya Lal r/o N 31/1, Shakti Appartment, near Railway line, Ahok Vihar, Delhii. He could not produce any document of the said motor cycle and during interrogation, revealed that he had stolen the motor cycle from Shastri Nagar, Delhi just one hour ago. Ct. Yoginder informed Police Station Sarai Rohilla and it was found that, the said motor cycle was stolen from B-Block, Shastri Nagar and a case vide FIR No. 228/12 u/s 379/411/34 IPC PS Sarai Rohilla was already registered. Accused Sandeep was arrested in this case.

INTERROGATION

During sustained interrogation, accused Sandeep disclosed that he had also stolen another motor cycle No. DL 6SQ 8601 on 31-05-12 from E Block Shastri Nagar, Delhi. After checking of records, it was found that a case vide FIR No. 180/12 u/s 379 IPC dated 31.05.12 was registered at P.S. Sarai Rohilla in this regard. The said motor cycle has also been recovered at his instance. The juvenile in conflict with law has been sent to Observation Home.

NOTORIOUS AUTOLIFTER ARRESTED

The staff of Police Station Tilak Nagar, West District has arrested notorious autolifter namely Harpreet @ Happy @ Preet. With his arrest 05 cases of robbery and auto thefts have been solved. 03 stolen motorcycles, one desi katta with one live cartridge have also been recovered from his possession. He is previously involved in 6 cases of different police stations of Delhi.

INFORMATION AND OPERATION

There had been a sudden spurt in snatchings and auto thefts in the West Distt in the past few days. Various police teams have been constituted to analyse these crimes and identify, trace and apprehend such criminals. A team was also working on it. The scenes of crimes were visited and criminals having previous involvements were interrogated by the team. During this extensive exercise the police team also deployed several informers. On 11/07/2012, a secret information was received that a person who is involved in snatching and auto lifting cases is moving in the area of P.S.Tilak Nagar. Immediately, a team of HC Deep Chand, Ct. Dharamveer and Ct. Resham Singh under the supervision of Inspr. Surender Sandhu of PS Tilak Nagar was constituted to look out of such criminals. On this secret information HC. Deep Chand along with Ct. Dharamveer, Ct. Resham were deployed by Inspr. Surender Sandhu near Subhash Nagar Picket and they started conducting special checking after placing barricades at Subhash Nagar police picket. At around 4.30 PM, a motorcyclist came from Shyam Nagar side and on the instance of informer when he was signaled to stop for checking, he tried to hoodwink the police but he was caught by Ct. Resham after chasing. When asked about his motorcycle, he could not produce any paper of his bike. On verification the motorcycle was found to be stolen from area of P.S. Khyala. His personal search led to the recovery of a desi katta with one live round.
