SUMMARY:

<!--mstheme-->I have twenty-five years experience providing IT business solutions. My experience includes IT management, project management, systems analysis and design, programming and application support and training. In 1987, I was working as the Project Lead with IBM for the MAPICS Advanced Manufacturing and Inventory Management Support Groups in Atlanta. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to train with IBM’s staff in Rochester, MN on the then new AS400. I have since worked as an AS400 / iSeries specialist for a many companies in a variety of industries.

I have a strong technical and programming background but my real strengths lie in my business knowledge, my ability to understand and adapt to new situations and the way I work with people. I am honest and realistic in both my solutions to problems and in reporting to management. I try to bring the most practical and efficient solution to each opportunity without sacrificing quality. <!--msnavigation-->

My Accomplishments Include:

As a Decision Support Analyst for a major Hybrid Medical Electronics Manufacturing company, I worked in conjunction with IT to successfully implement a Custom Requirements Planning, Purchasing, Inventory Control, Shipping and Lot Tracking system. I worked to develop new procedures and controls leading to successfully reducing inventories and costs throughout the Materials organization.

I worked as Project Lead for IBM providing APAR support for over 32,000 worldwide IBM MAPICS Advanced Manufacturing, Inventory Management, Purchasing, and Order Management customers. My responsibilities included support for MAPICS on all platforms (SYS 36/38 and AS400). My primary responsibility was to work with my team to resolve the open APARS and compile the PTF's and documentation sent to each MAPICS customer. I also provided several major design changes for the MRP and Product Costing and Process Manufacturing applications and was at ground zero for the introduction of the AS400. As a result, I was IBM's primary representative at COMMON for the MAPICS applications.

As Project Manager for the Northwest's largest Grocery and Merchandising Company, I designed and oversaw the programming of a Custom Retail-Accounting and Reconciliation application. My areas of responsibility included analysis, design, programming, documentation, software rollout, support and management reporting. This application provided complete next Day Audited Sales Reporting and Reconciliation for checks, bank receipts, money orders, stamps, licenses, and register receipts.

As a consultant to a Major Mutual Funds company in the Northwest, I was responsible for establishing an integrated reporting system and interface for the Third Party Participants and supported many of the Custom Applications for both the Trust and Funds groups. I also was a major player in Y2K programming and testing. My accomplishments were recognized throughout the company and from outside participant fund managers.

As Project Manager for the Nation’s second largest Forest Products Company, I directed the installation and implementation of Anderson’s MacPac Manufacturing application. The nature of the Forest Products Industry required modifying and re-engineering MacPac to meet the needs of the special requirements for the Building Material Group. A 70 percent redesign for Order Maintenance, Distribution, Production Scheduling and Sales was required. In addition, my job required converting existing applications from an IBM 4380 to the AS400. I was the primary analyst and programming lead for the team responsible for defining requirements and programming each division within the Building Material's Division (Lumber, Plywood, Particleboard, MDF, etc.). I helped establishing a unique inventory and product identification system for the various Lumber applications and was responsible for the conversion all of the Building Material Division's MacPac applications to RPGLE. I worked with management and staff at each production facility around the country to identify the unique requirements relating to the type of production involved. I traveled to each plant across the nation assisting in converting old data and training the users to use the new system.

I have worked in the Retail Industry in Retail Accounting, Reconciliation, Credit and PCI (Payment Card Industry) Compliance. The retail applications have included Teller Reconciliation to registers, Sales Reporting, Catalog Sales and Order Processing, Credit Card and validation and processing, and conversion of Credit Card numbers to PCI standards.

I have worked as a consultant to IBM (MAPICS), Fred Meyer (retail), Willamette Industries, Inc. (forest products), Menlo Logistics Company, Computer Guidance Corporation (construction management software), Charming Shoppes, Inc. (retail catalog) and other major iSeries companies. In each of these positions, I was as an analyst, designer and programmer. I also worked as Project Manager for several of these companies.

For the past 15 + years I have been President and a Primary Consultant with Cartwright & Associates, Inc.. I manage sub-contractors and company operations while providing analytical and programming support to both medium and large companies throughout the United States. Although my staff manages our Small Business accounts, I have developed a number of Web Sites for our small business clients.
