This competitions is conducted under NSNA ByLaws and Constitution, Indoor Policy and Aussie Sports Code of Behaviour – all documentation is available at

The competition will be played on Wednesday nights at the Willoughby Leisure Centre.

Matches will be played as per fixture book. Games will be 2 x 18 minute halves, with a 1 minute break at half time. There is NO injury time.

Registrations

·Late registrations must be made by the Team Contact, to the Convenor before 6pm on the Tuesday evening prior to that players first game, or on the previous Tuesday night.

·There are no registrations taken on the first night of play.

*All players must sign the registration sheet before playing. Failure to do so will result in a loss of 2 points.

*The maximum number of players to be registered is 12 per team. All players must be 16 in the year of play. NO DE-REGISTRATIONS once a player has played a game unless by medical certificate.

Uniforms

*All players must wear their full registered uniform, including position patches.

*Any player not in registered uniform shall be removed from the court.

*BIKE SHORTS/PANTS are only permitted as part of a skort or if separate, must not be longer than the skirt.

Scorecards

*Players are to sign the scorecardsbefore taking the court.

*No dispute concerning the score will be entered into.

*THE TEAM LISTED ON THE LEFTHANDSIDE OF THE DRAW IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SUPPLYING THE SCORER FOR THAT MATCH. Scorers must be over the age of 16.

*Captains are requested to sign the scorecard. Winning teams to return the card to the table. The captain of any team with a complaint regarding any game should not sign the card, the matter should be reported to the convenor, and followed with a letter from their Team Contact to the Indoor Business Administrator within 3 days.

*Injuries should be noted on the back of the scorecard and advised to the Indoor Business Administrator.

Games

*A team that has at least 5 players must commence a game. If 5 players are not on the court at starting time, a forfeit is automatic. There is NO waiting time. If neither team has 5 players present, the game shall be abandoned and no points will be awarded for that game, both teams are recorded as forfeiting.

Forfeits

*All forfeits must be notified by phone FIRST to the Convenor then opposing team. This should be done ASAP.

*A team forfeiting will be charged $35.00. This must be paid prior to their next game.

Umpires

*For this competition umpires will be appoint to each game.

Insurance

Should you have any queries about Insurance Claims, please go to the Willis Insurance link on the website for online claims details. All injuries should be reported to the Convenor and noted on the back of the scorecard.

RULES ON ENTRY OF TEAM IN COMPETITION - The acceptance of teams process is:

i.Current competition teams will, on Round 12 of that competition, be given the opportunity to enter their team for the following competition, and this entry will be accepted, unless the team is unfinancial or for disciplinary reasons.

ii.If a team is found to have played with an unregistered player or have forged a registered players signature, this team will NOT be eligible to participate in the following competition.

iii.If a team has played with less than 7 players on more than 3weeks of the current competition (including giving a forfeit), then this team will NOT be given automatic acceptance, however they may reapply to enter with any new teams.

iv.Any vacancy will then be advertised on the NSNA Website (together with forms) and teams wishing to apply for the vacant positions, will be required to do so on Round 14 of the current competition.

v.The Indoor Committee will then conduct a ballot and notify the applying team(s) of the results of that ballot.

vi.If the team drawn from the ballot was the team that was required to re-apply for acceptance to the competition though the ballot and subsequently do not adhere to (iii) above, then they will not be eligible for re-entry into the following competition. They may only be included if NO other teams apply for the vacant position.

Players

*If a team plays an unregistered or ineligible player (someone who has failed to sign the registration sheet) - 2 points will be deducted for that game.

*Only the names of the players who actually play, are to be signed on the score sheet.

*A player must have played (3) three games to qualify for the Finals Series.

*The committee may screen any player registered after grading.

*Any person guilty of a fraudulent signature/name on a score sheet may be asked to appear before the committee.

*NO jewellery is to be worn with the exception of a plain wedding ring WHICH MUST BE TAPED.

*Fingernails must be cut short. Ears may NOT be taped.

*ALL CHILDREN ARE TO BE SUPERVISED, AND MUST BE SEATED DURING THE GAMES.

Important Notice

It has come to our attention on occasions that players are arriving at the Leisure Centre to play who have consumed alcohol that afternoon/evening. Please note that under no circumstances can a player take the court whilst in this condition.

NSNA have strict ByLaws with relation to the consumption of alcohol and Willoughby Leisure Centre can refuse entry to anyone who is believed to be in this condition.

This is for the SAFETY and COMFORT of ALL players.

Any player that this relates to will not be allowed to participate on that evening.
