EXTRA NEWS
  • If you are able, please help your child purchase a toy for the Toys for Tots program. It is nice to have them go with you to help pick it out. If they are able, they can use some of their own money to put towardthe gift or do chores to earn money for the toy as well.
  • If you would like to help your child study for their Social Studies Test on Wednesday, here is what they should know: Native Americans worked together in groups called tribes. Native Americans were the first people in America. The pilgrims sailed across the Atlantic Ocean. The pilgrims came from England. Squanto was a special friend to the pilgrims. It took the pilgrims 66 days to cross the Atlantic Ocean. Pilgrims did not live in mansions, they may have lived in tepees, wigwams, or long houses. The Pilgrims boat was called the Mayflower.
  • If your child would like to earn extra credit stickers, they may work on Spelling City or IXL at home. We now have Language Arts on IXL as well.
  • When preparing your child’s cultural foods, please remember to keep them nut and berry free. If butter is used in a recipe, please be sure to always use a fresh stick of butter so that cross contamination of things like peanut butter do not occur. When possible, please send in the recipe. Thank you!
