Pacific Basin is one of the world’s leading owners and operators of modern Handysize and Supramax dry bulk ships. We are listed and headquartered in Hong Kong, and our network of 12 offices spans six continents to position us close to customers. Our fleet comprises over 200 vessels and we employ approximately 3,000 seafarers and a multinational team of 330 shore-based staff globally.
As part of our ongoing development, we have decided to recruit a suitable person for the following position:
§ Bachelor’s degree;
§ Qualified accountant or student member of any Accounting Qualification programme;
§ Minimum 2 years’ accounting experience, with prior experience in a sizeable auditing firm or listed company is definitely an advantage;
§ Well versed in operating computer software especially Excel;
§ Mature, self-motivated, detail-oriented and ability to work independently and with deadlines;
§ Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, confident in dealing with external parties;
§ Candidates are eligible to work in Hong Kong.
§ Report to the Finance Manager, Treasury;
§ Support the Group’s treasury function, including:
- Responsible for bank loans and derivatives administration
- Evaluate and liaise with banks on placing deposits and other cash investment products
- Monitor cashflows of the Group and prepare cash flow projections
- Administer bank accounts and credit facility lines
§ Assist in monthly accounts closing and internal and external management reporting including the preparation of interim and annual reports;
§ Assist in internal controls review from time to time;
§ Support ad hoc analysis and/or projects of the Finance and Accounts department.
