Advent Bible Studies

Advent Bible Study continues -Bible Characters Involved in Advent

Pilgrimage

Our annual pilgrimage is on Saturday 7 January, 9.30 am start at Mt Bellarine (corner of Drakes Rd & Pound Rd) and finishing about 1.00 pm after lunch at the Drysdale Tennis Club. We will be walking (or driving allowed) 4 kms in four stages and enjoying the liturgy at each stop on the theme "Sky and Air". This is open to all; there is no cost. Either write your name on the booking sheet in the church foyer or tell Wayne you would like to attend.

New Year's Eve Games

Don't spend New Year's Eve at home on your own - come along to the church hall for a social games night. 7.00 - 9.30 pm with new year celebrated at 9.00 pm. No cost, transport can be arranged.Either write your name on the booking sheet in the church foyer or tell Wayne you would like to attend.

Loose Change Offering

Corio-Norlane Numeracy and Literacy Project has now concluded so Church Council has decided to share the offerings for the last few months between Drysdale Community Church (Jetty Road) Christmas welfare support and for musical instruments at an Indian Church supported by Phil & Carol Spivey.

Messy Church

Messy Church is on tonight!! The theme is 'Stars" This will include the mainly music break-up. All welcome, please bring finger food to share.

Drysdale/Clifton Springs Combined Churches Annual Carol Singing

This will be held at the Woolworths Shopping Centre. This year Drysdale Uniting Church Choir will again be joining with the Springdale Singers on Tuesday, 20 December at 11.00 am to sing.Any members of the Church Congregation who would like to join us would be made very welcome, just come along.

Drysdale Choir

Our last Choir practice will be held on Thursday, 15 December. The Choir will then go into recess during January.

PORTARLINGTON

Portarlington U.C.A.F.
The U.C.A.F. will meet on Monday,

12 December at 1.30pm in the meeting room. A short discussion to finalise our plans and changes for next year will precede a Christmas Celebration (adapted by Margaret), followed by a festive afternoon tea.

Food Assistance Program

The Food Assistance Program is asking for donations for its Christmas hampers.

Any Christmas treats like plum pudding, mince pies, shortbread and custard will be welcomed. We especially ask for donations of tinned salmon, ham or vegetables so that a healthy main course can also be provided.

Your support is greatly appreciated.

Social Justice Letter Writing Group

The group will be in recess over December and January. It will reconvene in February 2017.

Neighbourhood Carols

Following the success of the neighbourhood carol singing last year, the 'seekers' group plus choir members and any other interested volunteers are invited to join us on Monday evening, 19December, followed by supper at the Hughes'. Carol singing will commence at 7.00 pm at the Lions Village and conclude at Hughes'. Words provided.
