Calling to Order:

Mayor Dennis Greene called this meeting to order at 12:15 p.m.

Attendance:

Mayor Dennis Greene, Deputy Mayor Peter Wilcox, Councillors Sherman Ross, Kevin Travis, Wayne Sturgeon, Maurice Green, Kirk Cheney, Phil Ells Jr, Stuart Green, Mark Ingersoll, CAO Rob MacPherson, Clerk Natalie Parsons and Treasurer Alyssa Calder.

Airport Hangers:

Councillor Stuart Green gave recommendations of Airport Committee.

Moved by Councillor Ingersoll, seconded by Councillor Cheney to approve the new airport hanger construction.

Motion Carried 09-188

Yes Votes: Deputy Mayor Wilcox, Councillors Phil Ells, Mark Ingersoll, Wayne Sturgeon, Stuart Green,

Sherman Ross, Kevin Travis and Kirk Cheney.

No Votes: Councillor Maurice Green

Moved by Councillor Sturgeon, seconded by Deputy Mayor Wilcox that the lease for the new airport hanger will be $1200.00 per year plus cost of inflation.

Moved by Deputy Mayor Wilcox, seconded by Councillor Travis to have the Airport Committee research and find out what the normal charge is for planes using a typical airport.

Debentures:

Moved by Deputy Mayor Wilcox, seconded by Councillor Travis that Be it resolved that the Clerk and/or Treasurer and/or Mayor be authorized to issue and sell to the New Brunswick Municipal Finance Corporation a Municipality of Grand Manan debenture in the principal amount of $1336000.00 on such terms and conditions as are recommended by the New Brunswick Municipal Finance Corporation and be it resolved that the Municipality of Grand Manan agree to issue post-dated cheques payable to the New Brunswick Municipal Finance Corporation as and when they are requested in payment of principal and interest charges on the above debenture.
