Pep Rally Schedule Announcement
We will be running on our Pep Rally bell schedule today even though we will not be taking students to LHS. The only students that are dismissed to go to the pep rally are those who are participating in it (Farmerettes, band, ROTC, cheer, Student Council) and those who are signed out and taken by their parents.
We will have a bus for the next pep rally on September 8 for students who have turned in signed permission slips.
PSAT Announcement
After announcements today Mrs. Coen will be sending out an email with a link for 9th graders to sign up for the PSAT. The first 300 students that sign up will be able to take the PSAT. You will need to register for the PSAT BY 3:30 ON FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 8th in order to be able to take this test. This is a great start toward preparing for college. What’s Your Plan?

CIS Announcement
School supplies and iPad assistance forms are available in the Communities In Schools office, room 101. Ms. Barnett will set up a Free School Supplies Table in front of the library before and after lunch every day this week.
ID Announcement
Teachers, if you have ID¹s and planners for students who are either not on your roster or on your roster but have never shown up, please return them to room 102. If you have ID’s and lanyards for students who have been here but are absent today, please hang on to those until Tuesday. If the student has not returned to school by Tuesday, return them to room 102. Students, if you were enrolled in LISD last year and think you should have a picture ID but received a temporary, please go by room 102 at lunch today to check. At this time, every student should have either a picture ID or a temporary ID on a lanyard around your neck.
iPad Announcement
We are collecting iPad fees before school and at lunch outside of Mrs. Rupp’s office in the hallway. Please take care of paying during this time. We will not accept money during class.
All iPad forms and fees are due Friday, September 15. Beginning on Monday, September 18, we will begin to collect iPads from students who have not paid their iPad fee and/or are missing Skyward forms. Students who have never had an LISD iPad: after the fees are paid and Skyward forms completed, you will be called down to the office to receive your iPad. The process takes a few days, so we appreciate your patience.
You are also required to complete a validation process. If you have a yellow screen on your iPad, please follow the instructions listed there. You have until Sept 15 to get this taken care of before the iPad goes into “restricted” mode and you won’t be able to use it.
Remember that all iPads must be in their case at all times, and you are only allowed to use the charger that was provided to you along with your iPad. Any iPads that are damaged need to go to the library or front office to be repaired.
If you have an LISD iPad, you are required to bring it to school every day and use it for academic purposes.
Tennis Announcement
Anyone interested in playing Tennis, please contact the Tennis Coach,Coach Johnson, at the Harmon campus. We have started our Fall season and would like to include studentsinterested in our program. You will need a physical to play so come by today and grab a physical form! Go Farmers!!
