Dear Outstanding Artist or Artisan,2014

You are invited to apply for the 48th Annual Cathedral of the Risen Christ Festival of the Arts scheduled for Friday October 10th – Sunday October 12th, 2014.

The show is a juried show limited to original art or their reproductions, All of which must be for sale. If you are a returning artist or artisan, we are excited to see you again, please feel free to include new designs as well as the reliable ones from the past to keep the show fresh and exciting. If you are new to the Cathedral Festival of the Arts please consider applying. In the past artists and artisans have found it beneficial to include art pieces in a variety of prices to appeal to the wide variety of clientele that come to the show. A vast array of styles, mediums and eclectic mix of secular and religious are from the artists and artisans is what makes our show so successful.

The show is located at the Cathedral of the Risen Christ, 3500 Sheridan Blvd, Lincoln NE – in the lower level; there is a handicapped entrance and elevator available to those who may need it. The publicity, management and sales of the show are the responsibility of the Cathedral Show Committee. Artists and artisans are invited to attend the show whenever they can.

Consignment ratio is 70% artist and 30% Cathedral of the Risen Christ. The $30.00 entry fee is for one of the following: wall space (approximately 6’x8’) or a table space (equivalent to one 8’x30” table). The Show Committee can and will display table art if the artist or artisan would like us to. You are invited to hang your own wall art.

Please return your application, Hold Harmless Form, current photo(s) of your work, an updated biography, and your entry fee by May 30th, 2014 to Claire Garay 5620 Bison Court, Lincoln, NE 68516. Photos are Needed for the Jury Committee and cannot be returned. Space in the show will not be guaranteed for applications that are returned after June 30th. Applications received after this secondary June 30th deadline will also be subject to a $50.00 late fee.

The Jury Committee will begin to determine selections during June 2014. Art selections will be based on providing a variety of quality work that will appeal to the show’s clientele. If you are not selected, your entry fee will be returned and you will be notified by a letter of the committee’s decision.

If selected for the show you will be notified by a letter of this decision, receive a packet of materials the middle of September and check-in/check-out info for the show October 9th – 12th, 2014. Once you have been accepted, your entry fee is non-refundable. Thank you for considering the Cathedral Festival of the Arts as a venue for your art.
