A Visit to the Henry Moore Studios and Sculpture Gardens on Thursday 21st June at
Perry Green, Hertfordshire.
The day will include a tour of Hoglands, Henry Moore’s home from 1940, with a tour of the exhibition, ‘Out of the Block’, featuring Henry Moore’s carvings, and the Aisled Barn where the Artist’s unique tapestries are displayed. The tapestries were commissioned from West Dean College where the weavers worked from Moore’s original drawings. The studios and gardens include over 70 monumental bronzes.
9.00 - Pick up from Sevenoaks Railway Station
9.15 - pick up from Tesco, Riverhead (free parking from behind the store)
10.45 - arrive at Perry Green
11.00 - coffee
11.30 - tour of Hoglands
12.45 –Pre-booked light buffet lunch at the Hoops Inn (£15), own picnic lunch or lunch at the Café in the visitors’ centre.
2.00 - tour of exhibition, the Aisled Barn, studios and gardens.
4.45approx.- depart
There will be a fair amount of walking during the day Shop mobility scooters may be hired; if you wish one,please inform me as these need to be booked in advance.
Cost £55.50 to include coffee and lunch, or £40.50 to include coffee but not lunch.
