Attention Students = Vehicle Registration Forms are located in the main office for next school year (2015-16) – please pick-up one if you plan to drive to school and park in the GSW parking lot. In order to pick your “spot” for next school year – you need to pay $25.00, fill out the vehicle form and turn in copies of your drivers’ license, current insurance and vehicle registration.
Attention = Any student getting their license this SUMMER = Remember, you must have a printed TRANSCRIPT or a REPORT CARD with your address on it to bring to the Drivers License Facility! Please see Mrs. Phillips or Ms. Kilmer in the Guidance Dept to get that information BEFORE you leave for the school year!
ALL students must leave for the summer with lockers in working order. If your locker is not in working / locking condition you will be charged a fee to fix your broken locker. Fix your locker or please go to the main office for a locker repair form.
Students - Registration packets were due on Monday, May 11th. Please get your completed packet to the guidance office ASAP. Thank you!
Premier summer school referrals are now available in the guidance office. If you need to make up credits or coursework this is the best way to do so. Premier is located in Morris and serves the entire county. Available seats are filled on a first come first serve basis. To reserve your spot you need to turn in a completed referral with a signature from Ms. Kilmer along with your payment to the Premier Academy. See Ms. Kilmer for more information. Do not delay. Spots fill quickly!
Community Service needed = The Church of Hope is offering an opportunity for the students who are in need of meeting their requirement for community service hours. They are holding their community Vacation Bible School program the week of June 22 – 26, 2015. Hours are from 5:30 to 8:00 PM. This is a great opportunity to get 2 ½ hours each night. Please sign-up in the main office.
Volunteers needed for the Braceville Summer Kick-off. Friday & Saturday, June 5 and 6. Sign-up sheet is located in the main office. Also, additional details and contact information is listed on the front of the sign-up sheet.
Catholic Charities’ Mobile Food Pantry – next dates are June 1 and August 3 at the St. Lawrence Church in South Wilmington from 4 – 6 PM.

Coach’s Comment: Another terrific season from the Lady Panthers. They have nothing to hang their heads about. Record = 22-9 and a 3rd straight Regional Championship!
Any girls interested in playing golf in the fall should contact Coach Gibson sometime this week.
Any baseball player who is interested in helping out at the sectional should see Coach Gibson today. We need players to retrieve foul balls, as well as a scoreboard operator. Players who help will be admitted for free.
GIRLS TRACK = Members of the girls track team competed the Bloomington Honor Roll Track Meet at Bloomington High School. Marlana Ferrari cleared 4'8" in the high jump and Alison Kirk jumped 13'10" in the long jump in their competitions. On the track, Taylor Richie ran 1:01.95 in the 400m dash to finish 3rd and Daly Galloway finished in 1st place in the 1600m run with a time of 5:08.24. It was a nice evening for a fun meet and the girls did a great job against very strong competition. Congratulations!
TRACK ATHLETES: You need to turn in your uniform as soon as possible (by the end of the week). Our awards program will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Renfrew Park in Dwight beginning at 6:00 pm. Each family needs to bring a dish to pass (DW-salads, GSW-desserts) and their own table service. Meat and drinks will be provided.
CROSS COUNTRY ATHLETES: There will be a meeting for all athletes who are interested in participating in cross country this fall starting at 7:00 pm at Gardner High School on Monday, June 1, 2015. If you are unable to attend, you should contact Coach Lane at 815-370-8662 for information about the summer schedule.
Attention Pantherette Spiritline Members! We will have practice on Monday, June 1st from 1:00 - 3:00 PM! Please add this to your calendar. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Leigh or Mrs. Scaccia.

If you are interested in an online summer reading program, stop by the guidance office to pick up a flyer.
Admissions, financial aid, and student affairs staff from the Urbana-Champaign, Chicago, and Springfield campuses will be there to talk with students and parents about early planning for college, student life, housing options, choosing a major, honors programs, campus clubs, athletics, arranging for campus visits or tours, and financial aid options.
If you would like to attend college but are not sure your academic skills are at the necessary level you should consider attending the Joliet Junior College Bridge Program this summer. The program is Mondays - Thursdays June 15 - July 2 and will help students prepare for credit in transferable coursework. Presence Kankakee Regional Volunteer Services is looking for students, 15 and older, to join their summer Spirit of Teen mentoring program. It is a 7 week commitment starting Monday June 8 - Friday August 7. Deadline for applications is May 29. For more information, see Guidance Department.
