Permission to March in the St. Patrick’s Day Parades
Show your school spirit and celebrate our Irish heritage by marching with us in the 2011 St. Patrick Day Parades!!
REQUIREMENTS TO MARCH:
· Currently enrolled dancer of the Mulvihill-Lynch School of Irish Dance.
· Owns/ordered a Mulvihill-Lynch School Parade Uniform.
· Must be able to walk/march unassisted by a parent/guardian.
· Must hand in the permission slip no later than MARCH 3RD
PARTICIPATING PARADE DATES:
Saturday, March 5th – Kings Park 1st Annual Parade
Saturday, March 12th – St. James Annual Parade
Saturday, March 12th – Westhampton Beach Annual Parade
Sunday, March 13th – HOMETOWN Ronkonkoma Annual Parade
LOCATION, DIRECTIONS, AND TIME OF LINE UP WILL BE POSTED ON OUR WEBSITE WHEN IT IS RECEIVED FROM THE HOSTING PARADE COMMITTEE.
DRESS CODE TO MARCH (DANCERS):
All Dancers – MLS Parade Uniform (Windsuit OR Sweatsuit)
Girls – Hair must be placed up in a PONYTAIL
Girls may wear black MLS ear warmers.
Boys may wear black MLS skull caps.
All Dancers – Black gloves/mittens
All Dancers – Appropriate footwear/sneakers (NO dance shoes)
All Dancers are permitted to accessorize with St. Patrick’s Day cheer.
PARENTS ARE WELCOME TO MARCH BEHIND THE DANCERS!
ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS:
· Fill out the below form and drop it off at class PRIOR TO MARCH 3RD! You also have the option of MAILING the form to PO BOX 461 LAKE GROVE, NY 11755. It must be received on or before March 3rd.
· If your child does not own a parade uniform, and you did not place the order for one back in December/January, then unfortunately they will be unable to march with us this year, but we hope they can join us again next year!
· PLEASE NOTE: We do not keep an inventory of parade uniforms.

I do hereby give my consent to allow my child/children to march in the below parade(s) under the banner of the Mulvihill-Lynch School of Irish Dance. My child suffers no injuries or ailments which may prevent him or her from completing the parade march safely. If I decide not to march behind the group, I will be at the end of the parade route to pick up my child/children as soon as the school has concluded their march.
