The funeral service for Glen PASCOE will be held this Friday (6th May 2016) at Darwin Funeral Services on Amy Johnson Drive at 3.30pm. The family has asked that you come along in your ‘clean’ fishing shirts as a show of respect to Glen. I’m sure we will farewell and celebrate Glen in the proper fashion that he deserves.
The Friday night members badge drawwas the first time I have been held speechless. Glen’s number was drawn ($350).
The committee has decided to donate this money to the family to do as they want. Glen’s brother has said that the money will be put on the “bar” at his wake following the service.
Members draw on Friday 6th May will now be $50. So come along to the raffles and have a drink in honor of Glen Pascoe.
Come along and enjoy the hospitality of the Howard Springs Tavern and the company of fellow members, with the chance to win a meat / seafood tray or the Members badge draw.
You must be present to win. Jackpot’s $50 every week until it reaches $500 then it is drawn until we have a winner.

Blue Water Comp –was held over the long weekend
The Blue Water competition was held over Sat 30th April and Sunday 1st May 2016.
Everyone caught fish and the competition was close.
Jew Fish – Robbie with a 1220mm giant
Reef – Mardi with a very good blue bone well over 500mm
Pelagic – Ricky Holgate got a good Mackerel
Snapper went to Paul the Painter with a great Goldie
Crab went to Mark Dent (a Junior) with a whopping 197mm
Extra – the ex PresMacca with a record breaking Catfish
Junior was won by Carla Dent with a huge salmon.
There were a lot of entries proving there is some good fish around at the moments. Also big crabs that are full are also around

FAMIL DAY
We will be having a family day at the oval in the near future. Play a bit of cricket and footy with the kids. With the chance for mum and dad to show them how it is done. I will let you know in the near future of the details.
The Glen Pascoe Memorial MUD Crab competition
The new start to the Fishing Club year always commences with the Crab Comp. This has been set down for Sat 9th July and Sun 10th July 2016. Open to crab anywhere in the top end area. There will be the biggest crab ($1000-00) prize plus mystery size prizes.
As this will be the start of the New Year all persons will have to re-join their membership to enter.
AGM- the annual general meeting will be held prior to the presentation of the Crab Comp. Please put your hand up and assist to keep this great little family club going.

Membership singlets and T-Shirts have been printed and are now available. Collect from Des at the Howard Springs Tavern on Friday nights.

MembershipsDon’t forget memberships are from Crab Comp to Crab Comp usually in July each year. So if you have not joined yet this year its time too. Kids under 18 are free. Please supply an email address and contact phone number when registering so that you receive all news regarding the clubs activities. Memberships can be renewed on Friday afternoon from 4.30pm at the Howard Springs Tavern.
Membership prices remain the same $30 for single and $60 a family.
