Candidate Name: Stephanie Cuddeback-Salim
Candidate for: Secondary (9-12) Representative
Candidate Statement:
For more than 30 years I have enjoyed the many benefits of AATSP membership:
reading Hispania, Enlace, ¡Albricias!, The Portuguese Newsletter; attending the annual
meetings; enrolling students in the National Spanish Exam; sponsoring active chapters
of the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica (and serving the SHH at the state and national
level); enjoying the professional benefits of travel/study awards; and participating as an
active chapter member and officer (I currently serve as Massbay Chapter President).
As the AATSP moves into its 10th decade of service to our profession it is important to
expand and build upon the founding principles of our organization, expanding
opportunities for professional growth for Spanish and Portuguese language, culture and
literature teachers. It is an honor to be a candidate for the AATSP Executive Council and
I am committed to serving our association to the best of my ability.
