I play center midfield for the U17 Venom,Arlington County Travel Soccer team currently ranked #2 in Virginia. Venom will compete in the OBGC Labor Day Tournament; the Va. State Cup; the CASL Raleigh shootout; the Disney Soccer Showcase; and the Jefferson Cup. The Venom will try for a repeat of the fallchampionship in the National Capital Soccer League, Division 1. I also have played sweeper, forward, and left midfield since joining the Venom in spring 2005.
I was a forward for the NOVA Royals Super Y team thissummer season,2009,and will participate with the team in competition at the National tournament in Tampa Florida.
I played mainly as a forward this last season on the varsity for Yorktown H.S. soccer, scoring 4 goals. Yorktown won the district and was a semifinalist in the regional playoff. As a freshman in 2008, I was moved up to varsity from JV for post season playoffs and was named in the local paper for making the pass that allowed the winning goal for the District championship.
Soccer Background: Began playing at age 6. At age 9, I joined the American team ASC (American Soccer Club) Neuenheim Tornados that played in the local(near Heidelberg) German league: Competed with the team in five multinational European tournaments in Holland, Austria, and Poland:Participated in ODP competition and camp at Bitberg, Germany, in 2003 and 2004, and was one of 3 selected from the 2004 camp to attend ODP regional camp in New York State for observation as an 11 year old prospect. Returned to the States in 2004 and played for another team during the fall before being recruited by the Venom in spring 2005.
Other Activities: Received my Red Cross Life Saving Certification in July 2009 and intend to work as a life guard part-time. My ceramic pottery creation won one of the gold key awards in 2008at the County art exhibit. I’m on the Yorktown Varsity swim team (2007/8, 8/9); and am a member of the Colonial league Fort Myer swim squad (2008/9). I was the Arlington county weight group wrestling Champ in 7th grade and placed3rd in 6th grade.
