For each scenario above, tell which type of advertising media would be best and justify why you feel that way. These should be in complete sentences.

Sally’s Tanning Salon has just opened and wants to get the word out. Because the business is new, she does not have a lot of money to spend on advertising.
Betty’s bakery has been in a business for a few years, but sales are slowing down. She wants to do more advertising. She has budgeted about $5000 to spend on advertising for the next six months.
Destinations Unlimited is a travel agency that is very well-known. However, they want to increase their sales even more. The owner feels that advertising is the key and says there is no limit to what she is willing to spend on advertising.
Penny’s Pre-Owned Cars is a used car dealership. She wants to do more promoting. She is going to be increasing her inventory giving consumers more cars to choose from. She wants to get the word out.
Oliver’s Office Supply Store is having a grand opening next week.
Paul’s Pet Store has been in business for several years. He now has a new competitor in town. He wants his customers to be loyal to him and he wants them to know how much he values their patronage. He thinks advertising is the way to do this.
Fancy Furnishings is a local furniture store. The owner is afraid that consumers are going to large chain furniture stores. He wants to spend around $1200 on advertising to get his local customers to return to his store.
Pamper Yourself Spa has been in business for about five years. They are now adding a new service—massages. They want to get the word out and start taking appointments. They have budgeted $8000 for advertising for this year.
Brett owns a DJ service called “Break It Down”. He would like to get more bookings for weddings, parties, and proms. He is willing to go to other towns and work. His budget is very limited.
Windows & Doors is a manufacturing plant located in your hometown. They manufacture windows and doors. Their sales are declining a bit and they want to become an international company so they want to get the word out about what their company does and explain why they are better than their competitors. Currently, the company sells all across the United States.
Sunnyside Landscaping is a business that is just getting started. They have done landscaping at several local locations. They want to be more popular and they are willing to travel to other towns to perform their services.
Diane’s Daycare now has openings for children ages 1-3. She needs to let parents know this. She only has $200 for advertising.
A-1 Limousine Service knows that prom and wedding season is just around the corner. They would like to get as many bookings as possible. They are very well-known locally, but want people in other towns to know about them as well.

Sweetie’s is a local candy store. The owner is concerned because sales only seem to be good when there is a holiday like Christmas, Valentine’s Day, or Easter. This entrepreneur wants everyone to know that all candies are made locally and that they are open for business all year long, not just for holidays. Since sales have been slow, they have a limited budget for advertising.
Let’s Play is a store that sells all sorts of games—from board games to video games. They are new in town and want to get the word out. Because they are so new, very few people have heard of them. They want everyone to know that the video games can be purchased or rented.
