TOPIC: What series of events builds the dramatic intensity in Act II? How does John Proctor’s character change in response to these events? Explain using examples from the text.
· Write in 3rd person (do not use “I”, “me”, “my”, “you”, “yours” pronouns)
· Write in the literary present tense. For example: John ARGUES with Elizabeth over Abigail when she ASKS him to expose Abigail as a fraud.
· Double space (skip lines)
· Do not use contractions.
· Find at least four events (or a series of complications) from Act II that build intensity.
· Very specifically, describe the change in John Proctor’s character in response to the events you discuss.
