Candidate Goals for Office
As candidate for Director of Government and Inter-society Services, my top priorities are to serve the position completely and effectively, to support the Society Mission, to promote awareness of system safety engineering and the Society, and to deliver benefit to the Society and membership. It’s clear that Society membership exhibits a substantial breadth and depth of expertise, experience, and demonstrated value in the discipline of system safety engineering. We can benefit ourselves, each other, and the Society as a whole by authoritatively representing the system safety engineering discipline in support of Government agencies, and via our contribution to adjacent inter-society committees.
From my experience on several committees, and as chair of the SAE G-10T committee in particular, I’ve had the opportunity to experience the power of diversity in committee work, coupled with a variety of backgrounds and technical perspectives. It is my intent to serve not only the Society leadership, but also to deliver value and to facilitate the path for every Society member that seeks the professional development and benefits associated with service to inter-society committees and other liaison opportunities.
