BE IT ENACTED BY THE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

SECTION 1. The practice known as Affirmative Action is hereby abolished.

SECTION 2.The Department of Education and the Department of Justice shall oversee implementation of this legislation.

SECTION 3.This bill shall be implemented July 1, 2018.

SECTION 4.All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.

A Bill to Restrict Semi-Automatic Assault Weapons

BE IT ENACTED BY THE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

SECTION 1. The Public Safety and Recreational Firearms Use Protection Act is hereby re-enacted.

SECTION 2.The Public Safety and Recreational Firearms Use Protection Act includes a restriction on manufacture, transfer, and possession of certain semiautomatic assault weapons and a ban of large capacity ammunition feeding devices.

SECTION 3.The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives shall be responsible for the implementation of this legislation.

SECTION 4.This bill shall take effect immediately upon passage.

SECTION 5.All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.

Bill to Temporarily suspend the leahy law

BE IT ENACTED BY THE STUDENT CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

SECTION 1.The Leahy Law (Section 563 of Public Law. 106-429) is hereby suspended for a period of 5 years

SECTION 2.The Department of State and the Department of Defense shall oversee the implementation of this legislation.

a)An interagency committee shall be established to review foreign units under suspension.

b)The Secretary of State may nominate an unlimited number of foreign military units per country to the Secretary of Defense to prevent the US from conducting sales and training during the timeframe.

SECTION 3. Funding shall be allocated from the Department of Defense budget.

SECTION 4.This legislation shall go into implementation immediately after passage.

SECTION 5.All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.

A Bill to Increase Domestic Cyber Security

BE IT ENACTED BY THE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

Section 1.A. Ten billion dollars will be allocated to the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security which shall be used for the purpose of cyber security research, development, and implementation.

B. The Department of Defense shall work to expand cyber security through an increase in cyber security related jobs and research in the Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security.

Section 2.A. Cyber security research, development and implementation shall be defined as improvements in the protection of government computers and data.

Section 3.The Department of Defense in conjunction with the Department of Homeland Security shall oversee the implementation and enforcement of this legislation.

SECTION 4.This bill will go into effect in FY 2019.

Section 5.All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.

A Bill to Ensure Fairness in Sleeping Facilities for America

SECTION 1. No person may reside in Congressional offices in Washington DC, except as provided in Section 2c.

SECTION 2a ’Reside’ is defined as sleeping overnight, including maintaining furniture for the purposes of facilitating sleep (including sofa and Murphy beds and similar such furniture) in Congressional Offices

Section 2b ‘Congressional Offices’ includes, but is not limited to, all buildings maintained and operated by the Architect of the Capitol.

Section 2c: Upon application to the Architect of the Capitol, a member of Congress who reports and pays Federal income taxes on their office as employer provided housing may use their office as a domicile.

SECTION 3a The United States Capitol Police and the Architect of the Capitol are jointly responsible for enforcing this legislation

Section 3b. The Sergeant of Arms of the House of Representatives and the Sergeant of Arms and Doorkeeper of the U.S. Senate shall adjudicate any dispute over the enforcement of this legislation, as pertains to their respective chambers.

Section 3c. The Capitol Police Board may, by majority vote, overturn the decision of the Sergeant of Arms (and, if applicable, Doorkeeper) regarding what constitutes ‘housing’ upon application by a member of Congress.

SECTION 4.This bill shall take effect upon the onset of the 116th Congress of the United States

SECTION 5.All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.

A Resolution to Ratify the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty

RESOLVED,By two-thirds of the Senators present concurring herein, that the Senate advises and consents to the ratification of the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty, which was opened for signature at New York on September 24, 1996 and signed that day by the United States of America, subject to the condition that the President of the United States would be prepared to withdraw from the treaty in the event that the Secretary of Defense and the Secretary of Energy advise that a high level of confidence in the safety or reliability of a nuclear weapon type which the two Secretaries consider to be critical to our nuclear deterrent could no longer be certified.
