Adams, Dr. R J. "Handgun Control Debate."Gun Control. EDI, 2005. Web. 14 Nov. 2012. <http://www.awesomelibrary.org/guncontrol.html>.

Summary: This website's main point is to summarize both sides of the gun control issue. One of the critical details for the pro gun control side is that 5,000 teens and children died from gunshot wounds in the US, but only 19 died in Great Britain during that same time period, and GB has strict gun control laws. Another detail for the pro side is that guns should at least have safety features to not go off accidently. On the con gun control side, a critical detail is that the NRA argues that the 2nd Amendment guarantees our right to bear arms, and that was recently upheld with the case of US vs. Emerson. Finally, there is the editor's note analyzing both sides of the issue.

Assess: This website is reliable and credible. First of all, it is a .org which means it was posted by a specific public organization not any random person or group. The actual author is listed and he is a doctor adding to his credibility. Secondly, it uses facts such as the US Constitution. It is not biased as it gives both sides of the issue. The main goal or purpose of the website is to inform the reader. This source is one of the better sources to use.

Reflect: This is an excellent source as it contains both sides of the issue. It would be very useful to use in a paper even if the purpose of the paper was to persuade as the information in the website is reliable. It is also helpful that it is a .org. The website is very readable. It is neither too scholarly nor not scholarly enough. It gave interesting info such as new facts like the amount of teens that have died.
