3. Project Purpose – Problem: (problem being addressed) The Mount Wanda Sub-watershed contributes a significant sediment
load to a rural residential neighborhood where the runoff continues to erode the alluvial fan and ditches in the Strentzel Lane
neighborhood.
4. Project Goals:
a.  Short-term Goals: The goal of the project is to protect the area from further erosion through installation of vegetated
swales, meandering streams and pipe segments.
b.  Long-term Goals: The goal of the project is to reduce sediment loads in the area and to the downstream creek as the
features installed will dissipate the stormwater energy, while providing an aesthetic enhancement to the neighborhood.
