1.  Call to Order

2.  Approval of the Business Meeting Minutes of August 26, 2016

§  After review of minutes the Board Members will make necessary changes and approve minutes accordingly.

3.  Chairman’s Report

§  Chair will address the Board as needed.

4.  Licensing Update Report:

§  Applications/Qualifications Review Committee

Ø  Committee will report number of applications approved, denied, or returned for additional information.

§  Review of PSI Examination Results

Ø  Robin Bailey, Executive Director will report most recent stats from PSI.

5.  Complaint Committee Report

§  Complaint Committee will present reviewed complaints and inform Board of current

status.

6.  Old Business

§  Reciprocity with Virginia

Ø  Board will discuss status of reciprocal licensing for elevator mechanics and accessibility lift mechanics.

§  Proposed Action- COMAR 09.35.02 and .03- Qualifications for an Elevator Renovator Mechanic’s License and Elevator Renovator Contractor’s License

Ø  Board will discuss changes to regulations regarding elimination of grandfathering provisions for licensure that expired January of 2013; define the number of years of experience and education required for licensure as an elevator renovator mechanic; increase the number of years of experience and education for an elevator renovator contractor license; and eliminate an exam requirement for licensure as an elevator renovator contractor.

7.  New Business

§  COMAR 09.35.04.10 - Continuing Professional Competency (CPC)

Ø  Board will discuss changes to regulations regarding grandfathering dates for CPC requirements.

8.  Correspondence

§  Elevator Cab Rehabs

Ø  Board will discuss correspondence from Phyllis Isaacson regarding an elevator cab rehab for a high rise located in Bethesda, Maryland.

9.  Executive Director’s Report

§  Robin Bailey, Executive Director will inform the Board of current events and changes that may need to be addressed.

10.  Counsel’s Report

§  Counsel will inform the Board of current changes in laws, regulations pending litigation, or any other matters as necessary.
