MACMILLAN COFFEE MORNING – FRIDAY 30TH SEPTEMBER

Please join us from 9-10am in the Community Hall to celebrate Britain’s Biggest Coffee Morning. Bring a cake or just come for a coffee and buy one! It’s a great social event for an amazing cause and we hope to raise as much as possible. If you can’t make it on the day, any donations will be greatly appreciated.

Children may bring money into school as small cakes will be sold at playtime for 20p each. All contributions of cakes are therefore welcome!

RECEPTION CLASSES - EVENING CHRONICLE

On Tuesday a photographer from the Evening Chronicle came into school to photograph the two new Reception Classes. The photos will appear in the Evening Chronicle on Friday 30th September’s edition and on ‘chroniclelive’ a few days earlier.

SCHOOL ADMISSIONS – RECEPTION AND SECONDARY

If your child is currently a Nursery or Year 6 pupil you will have received an application form to apply for your child’s next school place. Application forms must be returned by 31st October 2016 (for Secondary places) or 15th January 2017 (for Primary/Reception places). Parents who apply after the deadline dates seriously jeopardise their chances of their child getting a place at their preferred school.

UNIFORM

The school actively encourages children to wear school uniform. School sweatshirts and polo shirts are available from the school office. Payment must be made in full when clothing is ordered as all uniform is supplied with the child’s name. The school maintains the right to ban certain kinds of clothing, which might prove to be a safety hazard. Children should be smart in appearance and extreme hair styles are actively discouraged.

PE Kit

These should be brought into school at the beginning of term and collected at the end.

White T-shirt with the school logo (available from school)

Black shorts

Plimsolls

Trainers (for outdoor lessons only)

Jewellery should not be worn in school, including ear-rings. This is with the exception of an inexpensive watch.

Uniform may be ordered from the School Office.
