Elementary/Middle School Presentations
Checklist
◊Select an activity to explain Entrepreneurship (a concept out of chapter 5)
- Your activity needs to teach one of the following concepts:
- A key word out of the chapter
- Or section out of the chapter
- Examples of activities: worksheet, scavenger hunt, starting a business in the classroom, jeopardy, Develop a new game – make one up
- Be creative!! - Think outside the box

◊Select an Elementary/Middle School Classroom
- Activity must reflect the age group you are presenting to
◊Activity, not just a lecture – 15 minute presentation activity
◊Create a visual aid to explainyour concept
- Powerpoint or Prezi Presentation
- Create handouts/worksheet/activity for the students about your presentation
◊Each group will create a Report of their Presentation
- I. Goal of the Activity
- II. Target Market of the Activity – this is your classroom age group
- III. Description of the activity – also include what you did to plan and organize your activity
- IV. Script for the presentation
- V. Evaluation
- Completed after the presentation happens
- Include photos taken with classroom during presentation
Presentations will happen Dec 18or 19th during your class hour. It depends on your classroom teacher’s choice and what fits their schedule on which day you may present
Folders will contain at the end and DUE December 20, 2012
◊Daily Log – outlining who did what and when it was completed
◊Report of the Presentation – All sections completed
◊Handouts and copies of yourVisual Aid/presentation slides
Each student when presenting will wear their DECA T-Shirt or DECA Sweatshirt and Nice Jeans/Khaki or Black pants. No jackets worn while presenting.
Classroom Teacher Evaluation – 25 points
- Did the students show up on time?
- Did ALL students in the group participate in the presentation? (not just the board holder or distributor of supplies)
- Did they interact with the students?
- On a scale of 1 to 5 (5 being high)...would you rate the overall presentation? speaking, lesson, activity, intro, body, conclusion
- Did their activity teach your students a concept of business/entrepreneurship/creativity?
