adding/updating calls in salesnow

Process Job Aid

When to complete this activity:

Complete this activity whenever a call needs to be scheduled or updated in the SalesNOW system.

Process overview:

1.  Open the current customer, prospect, or opportunity record

2.  Click on the Schedule Call button

3.  Enter Time and Date for the Planned Call

4.  Update Call Status

5.  Save

OPen the salesnow record

1.  Search for customer record
a.  Search and enter a Current Customer
b.  Search and enter a Prospect
2.  Select record to open

3.  Click Schedule Call button

4.  Enter Time and Date and change status to Planned

5.  Once the call has been made, change the status

  1. Planned (schedule a future dated call)
  2. Connected (call was placed, connected with contact )
  3. Attempted (call was placed, did not connect with contact)
  4. Do Not call (Follow Do Not Call Procedure)

*If a call is Attempted, the status needs to be updated and saved to create a timestamp of the call activity. After it is saved you can immediately reschedule a new call and update the status to Planned.*

6.  Save the changes

1.  Search for customer record

  1. Search and enter a Current Customer
  2. Search and enter a Prospect

2.  Select record to open

3.  Scroll down to the call details

4.  Click on Log New

5.  Enter Time and Date the call took place and update the status

  1. Planned (schedule a future dated call)
  2. Connected (call was placed, connected with contact )
  3. Attempted (call was placed, did not connect with contact)
  4. Do Not call (Follow Do Not Call Procedure)

6.  Save the changes

You know you have completed this activity successfully when:

A call has been logged into SalesNOW under a current customer or prospect.
