U.S. Federal Highway Administration – Lansing, MI Sept. 2014 - present

Environment and Realty Program Manager

·  Environmental Planning: Program manager and technical advisor for all FHWA environmental activities in Michigan supporting $1.09 billion (FY 2017) Federal Aid Highway Program. Ensure internal and Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) compliance with all applicable Federal environmental laws and Presidential executive orders to support major project development and resolve complex issues. Coordinate internal review of environmental assessments (EAs) and environmental impact statements (EIS). Other areas of responsibility include sustainability, endangered species, community connections, context sensitive solutions, air quality, historic preservation, environmental justice, hazardous/contaminated materials and brownfields, climate change, and wetlands. Worked closely with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to develop and implement programmatic agreements and conservation partnerships. Organized regional climate resilience workshop for Midwestern states working with EPA and FHWA headquarters.

§  Gordie Howe International Bridge (GHIB) between Detroit, Michigan and Windsor, Ontario; and

Developed and implemented statewide policies and Procedures, including:
