Message from the Chairman

We postponed the signals session from last month to this December’s meeting as we had so many match incidents to get through. It is really great that so many of you were happy to discuss the good, bad and just plain mad incidents that happened in the last few weeks. If you have something you want to get off your chest come and share it with your colleagues.

I was one of the people calling for goal line technology to come into the professional game and was very happy when it happened this season. It already has proved to be very accurate and a great help to officials who have one less thing to worry about. A really good example was at the weekend when around 1/8th of the ball had not crossed the line and the officials (and hawk eye) got it right.

It is the Xmas meeting coming up so don’t forget to bring a raffle prize so that everybody goes home with a present. See you all at the next meeting.

Happy Xmas and I hope you all have a great New Year.

David Bacon
