I.In-School Youth
- SAEP supervision / maintaining student record books
- Visit prospective students
- Locate and secure livestock for next year's projects / validation
- Hold demonstrations on improved agricultural / horticultural practices
- Visit prospective Work Based Learning students
- Locate and arrange suitable work stations for Work Based Learning students
II.Program Planning
- Collect teaching materials: Plant, animal, insect specimen, agricultural literature, statistics, etc.
- Order or arrange for videos, slides, computer software, etc.
- Make departmental budget
- Survey community and school officialsfor developing or revising long-rangeprogram and annual teaching plans
- Make plans and prepare material for an educational exhibit at fairs, shows, etc.
III.Facilities
- Check shop inventory and repair or replace equipment as needed
- Rearrange classroom, ship and file reference material
- Improve classroom and shop appearance
IV.FFA
- Participate in district, area, and state meetings
- Participate in FFA officer training
- Conduct summer tours or camps
- Conduct local chapter meetings
- Meet with advisory committees and other groups to plan youth activities
V.Adult and Young Farmer Education
- Assist with agricultural programs on crop, livestock, poultry, and plant topics
- Conduct tours to experiment stations, farms, and other places to view outstanding agriculture improvement work
- Conduct Agribusiness visits and surveys to assist with improved practices or individual problems
- Hold demonstrations on needed and/or outstanding improvement practices
- Meet with advisory council
- Plan adult and young farmer programs
VI.Community Development and Work with Other Agencies
- Performing community service work
- Participate in planning and conducting community projects for the improvement of agriculture
VII.In-Service Training
