3f. The Fire and Rescue Service is committed to ensuring its fire stations are seen as being at the heart of the community. Each fire station has a community room which is free for community groups to use. Age UK hold meetings in one of these community rooms and an Alzheimers planning day has also taken place.

5. Improving health in Ordsall and Langworthy / ·  Celebrating Diversity progamme- Refugee support
·  Gospel Zumba / 5a. Wedding celebrations from different parts of the world project. The project is about bringing people together, getting them involved in planning activities helping people stay mentally healthy. This is a creative way of helping people boost their health. The group will be supported to organise workshops around healthy eating, physical activity, i.e. dance, art and craft, writing and research workshops leading to a parade and 4 days exhibition.
This is a community-led dance/singing ICI hosted by local group On Your Doorstep, based at St Clements Community Centre. The group caters for all physical abilities, ranging from people wanting to lose weight to people wanting to maintain social contact as a way of combating social isolation. Most participants have a long-term health condition and would not otherwise participate in dance.

The Public Health Team is commissioning the information advice and guidance (IAG) elements of the Work and Skills service to develop greater alignment with another commission, the Being Well Service. IAG supports people into employment or into better employment through information, advice and guidance. Being Well supports adults to make and sustain improvements in their wellbeing – it is targeted to adults who have a combination of wellbeing issues and links them up with a Being Well Coach who works with them over a sustained period of time. / SCC - Public Health Team

A sanctions leaflet is in preparation and is intended to arrange local distribution.
Training on “Dealing with Sanctions” has and continues to take place for front-line staff and agencies.
Mapping of ATM availability, banking, pay day lenders etc. is likely to be undertaken by the Financial Inclusion Practitioners Group to which Welfare Rights and Debt Advice Service contributes.
Continued close working with the Illegal Money Lending Team.
