  1. The book of Revelation is a commentary on the present world, doesn’t predict the future. It was written to tell the Israelites how to live in light of the Roman Empire. Every time Babylon was mentioned it is a reference to the Roman Empire.
  1. Everyone has their own Babylon, whether it is the United States, France, Mexico, Japan, etc.
  1. All kingdoms (political/economical structures) of this world will pass away. No Babylon lasts forever.
  1. Reference: Revelation 18
  1. When the system falls there is a reaction- Rev. 18:11. The cargo of that system will not be bought anymore.
  1. We are spending 250 thousand dollars a minute over in the Middle East on the war. This is why the government cant fix schools, take care of the elderly, and can’t get healthcare because of it.

  1. We are being seduced into a affluent destructive lifestyle by the media
  1. When the systems collapse, where will you be; with the merchants that cry, or the multitude singing “Hallelujah. Hallelujah”?

  1. Take no thought for the future what you shall eat and what you shall drink...”
  1. The just shall live by faith

  1. Max Weber differentiated between power and Authority
  1. Power is the ability to coerce
  1. Authority comes through sacrificial love
  1. Philippians 2- Jesus came into the world giving up power in order to express his love

  1. We have to become the people of God who not only believe in Jesus but who invite Jesus into our live to transforms us into a pure person, a sacrificial person, into someone who lives out love in the world
