Job Description –Marketing Manager

We are looking for someone to assist with operational tasks for a well-established but small US-based global educational consulting firm that is looking to start our scaling process.

We are looking for someone to help make our message and offerings easier to engage with. We are adamant about everything we put out being globally acceptable, engaging, friendly and respectful of others views. Our target market is virtually everyone including educators, businesses, community members which all include people of all walks of life, intelligence levels, personal beliefs, locations, languages, etc. We would like someone who can add some 'pop and wow factors' that better engage our non-education oriented audience, without losing the substance of our messages.

All candidates must have these general skills:

·  Create user-friendly revisions to content for a global audience.

o  Be organized and able to communicate clearly and efficiently.Be able to write clearly, concisely and kindly, and synthesize information accurately and efficiently. Good grammar and intelligent reading and answering skills are a MUST.

o  Be able to be globally accepting of many cultures and able to interact professionally and maturely with a large variety of people.

o  Have experience in client interaction and management in a variety of settings, including onsite and virtual.

·  Have marketing / social media experience and is skilled in Photoshop and Wordpress.

o  Be able to organize, design, craft and maintain websites for content and structure.

o  Be able to manage and install, trouble-shoot and update plug-ins.

·  Know to ask for clarity on assignments.

·  Must have a good balance of tact and humor.

·  Be organized and able to keep on top of tasks and time management.

o  Have experience with accurately keeping up a database of clients and documents.

o  Be able to perform basic office management duties including file management and data entry and process virtual sales.

Preference given to those:

·  Who have experience in IT work – systems networking, hardware or software applications.

·  Who have any experience or interest in warehousing.

·  Who are located near one of our current offices in southwest VA, western MA or southern VT., potentially interested in someone on the West Coast (LA or Portland) or Minneapolis.

Have skills specific to this company’s needs:

·  Who have experience with school systems’ structures.

·  Have an understanding of educational administrative structures.

·  Have an understanding of interdisciplinary education, STEM, and STEAM.

Tasks:

·  Website Updates

o  Editing & Making it Community Friendly – on-going

o  Website Access – Tier Level Access to pages/clients

o  Plug-In maintenance

o  New Page Creation

o  Map - monthly

o  Timeline – as needed

o  Resources List - monthly

·  Social Media – daily posts, weekly report

o  Weekly web search for articles on/about STEAM

·  Produce a Newsletter – 2 times a month – based on articles that are found for you

·  Branding and Photoshop for new products or updating products

Possible tasks:

·  Client database maintenance

·  Product database maintenance

·  Sales processing behind the scenes

·  Going to events

·  Research of products/services

The majority of the work is remote with a potential for travel. This job would be perfect for someone who primarily wanted to work from home. Daily hours are somewhat flexible, but this position would primarily be expected to be at their computer M-F 8-12 and 2-5 – the other 5 hours a week would be flexible. At times, it would be beneficial to travel to get to know the scope of the business better.

Hourly rate is dependent upon experience.
