YUTC TAKES 10 MORE PROVINCAL MEDALS AT OTFA BANTAM/MIDGET/JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS!!
March 3rd, York University - YUTC athletes competed this past weekend at the OTFA Bantam/Midget/Junior Indoor Championships. With over 1,200 entries this weekend, our 17 athletes represented us, the host club very well! Team Championship scoring is not yet available, but these ten medals and numerous top 6 placings will added to the YUTC club total from the OTFA Youth/Senior Championships held last month. Add the ten medals from this weekend to those won at the Youth/senior championships...YUTC athletes have brought home 20 provincial indoor medals this season, including six GOLD!!
Leading the way this weekend, where junior age double medal winners; Shennae Steele (60m and 200m), kristin Obrochta (Weigh Throw and Shot Put), Daniel Novia (Weight Throw and Shot Put) and Midget Boys Kyle Crisp (Weight Throw and Shot Put. Daniel Novia's performance in the weight throw is a new (pending) u19 OTFA record!

Eighteen York University Athletes will be competing this week at the university national chamopionships. Three of those varsity athletes are current YUTC members as well:

Be sure if you see the varity team training tonight and tomorrow to wish them well. The varsity team leaves for Montreal this Wednesday and returns Sunday.
28-29 York University Indoor High School Meet
if you have been reading my emails, you know that YUTC is hosting this meet and we need volunteers. Please email me your availabilty.
30th MTA Indoor Championships
I am still waiting to hear from the MTA in regards to the details of this Championship meet. I have emailed this just this morning. While we wait....Coaches/athletes/parents you should mark this date off in your calendar and be preparing your entries and deciding what you want to enter, so that we can be ready as soon at the entry meet package is available.
OUTDOOR SCHEDULE - Key Dates
The Official Outdoor schedule is being finalized and I will be seeking the coaches and the executive approval in the next two weeks. As soon as I have it approved, I will be sending it to you, posting it up on the York YUTC Bulletin Board at York and on our YUTC website.
