2014 Auxiliary Liaison Excellence Award Criteria/Guidelines

Part 1: Criteria

Awarded to the Auxiliary Liaison who has demonstrated superior performance as a Council/Chapter Auxiliary Liaison in one or more of the following Auxiliary Member Advisory Committee (AMAC) mission areas:

Recruiting and Retention

  • Actively recruits auxiliary members
  • Actively works to retain auxiliaries within the chapter by discovering new and innovative activities to hold their interest

Representation

  • Conveys timely and pertinent information from AMAC and other sources to auxiliaries, chapter leaders and all chapter members
  • Communicates to AMAC timely and pertinent news/interest items on chapter actions
  • Stays abreast of the current issues of the Surviving Spouse community and the legislative actions of MOAA on these issues
  • Contributes to the chapter newsletter and website with written articles on a variety of topics, and submitting the monthly Auxiliary Liaison memo for re-print in council/chapter newsletter

Responsibility

  • Demonstrates leadership and willingly assumes responsibility within the council/chapter
  • Can initiate, lead, and manage a project from beginning to end
  • Organizes auxiliary/chapter community service projects

**Please note that a former Auxiliary Advisory Committee Member must wait three years from the time of leaving the committee before she can be nominated for the Auxiliary Liaison Excellence Award**
