1. Welcome/Introductions- None

2. Announcements

-Dr. KingSanders: Engineering can decided how long advisors will be with students, i.e.- 0-60sch, 0-120sch, etc. For hoggie days, depts. will be split- CHNG & EECS mornings, CEAE, EVEN, MEIN & IMEN afternoons for this upcoming hoggie days.

3. Reports/Updates/Announcements from departments and dean’s staff

CEAE

-Phone interview for AE candidate, will invite for site interview. Need some support money.

CHNG

-Will invite 2 candidates for site interviews.

Dr. Bailey

-Working on ppt for hoggie days, need info from depts. Dept can send rep @ 2pm to talk to students on Monday afternoons to answer specific questions on their dept.

Dr. Custer

-Building student files on shared network, no more hard copies. Still missing EVEN, IMEN & CEAE

Mr. Torres

-Recruiting tactics now involve electronic docs. Schools will input electronically and univ/colleges can scan student barcodes to retrieve information. Anyone involved with minors in camps now have to complete child safety training course online- no exceptions.

Dr. Pena

-Past hoggie days went well, already discussed earlier with Dr. KingSanders.

4. Items for discussion/Action

·  PLTW- Draft articulation handout given, will keep pursuing. Need to talk to KingSanders. SJN

·  Hoggie days/advising- next on 25th & 26th, ABET requires some faculty involvement. Depts need to develop plan for students. BB/SJN

·  Instructional Enhancement Fee proposals- EVEN will give acct numbers. SJN

·  Staff searches- HPCC research scientist will now be development officer. SJN

·  BS NG program- Approved w/ 124 sch, classes start Fall ’12. SJN

·  Staff evaluations- need to fix and turn in ASAP. SJN

·  Writing Intensive Courses- identify and review paperwork. SJN

·  260130 cutoff- June 30th. SJN

·  Summer Planning Retreat- 1st session July 12th, 9-3p, location TBD. SJN
