A. Call to Order by Trez Gutierrez 5 minutes
1. Welcome/Introductions
a. Approval of Minutes
i. May 2016 minutes – Minutes read from the Monitor and approved
B. President’s Report: Trez 5 minutes
1. ENA New Learning Platform “ENA Learn” : Glitches have been fixed
2. ENPC
i. Reminder to include Disclosure Flyer in packets
ii. Administrative Guidelines under final revision : Effective and available 9/01/2016
iii. Faculty asked to send in disclosure forms for each class
3. Course Ops reviewed
C. Unfinished Business 15 minutes
1. Pediatric Committee sponsored ENPC classes: Bakersfield, CHOC on Aug. 24th with 10 students attending,, Loma Linda is having a provider course Oct 24th&25th & Desert Regional is also having a provider course in October for the new instructors to assist, Northern CA trying to grow new instructors
2. Updated list of current instructors by county ( emailed to committee members)
D. New Business 15 minutes
1. Review Pediatric Committee Policy/Procedure: Relook at policy – update, revise and resend
2. ENPC Instructor Course: October 22, 2016 @ CHOC, Orange, Pomona Valley is increasing their Pediatric unit and has asked for a grant fund for a 6 participant course
3. Pediatric Outreach Grant ~ ENPC IC
E. Miscellaneous / Round Table………………………………………………………..15 minutes
1. ENPC is working on a challenge course that will be 1 day class for recertification
2. Providers can remediate 1 time
3. LA Pediatric Readiness 2 year project: Non EDAPS will undergo chart reviews and education will be provided for MD’s and nurses
4. 2 day EDAP class Sept 7th & 8th in San Pedro
5. ENPC is still being revised. Looking at increased online modules to increase skills time in the course
6. Loma Linda is looking at instructor courses, possibly in October
7. Desert Regional has 10 New Grads with BSN’s starting
8. Sutter Medical Center is separating their Pediatric area of the ED
9. Rady’s is having problems finding rooms to hold an ENPC course
