Weare thrilled to welcome Ms. Judith Heumann, Special Advisor for International Disability Rights at theU.S. Department of State, as our keynote speaker. Her presentation will examine lessons from the 25thAnniversary of theAmericans with Disabilities Act. In addition, Ms. Yvonne Peters, Chairperson of the Accessibility Advisory Council, will report on the implementation of The Accessibility for Manitobans Act (AMA).
Following the formal presentations, you are invited to join us for a viewing of the documentary filmLives Worth Living, whichfeatures Ms. Heumann and the journey to accessibility legislation in the United States.
We are very pleased to extend our 2015 celebration to a second public event. Ms. Heumann will be speaking about the History of the Disability Rights

Movement at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights (CMHR), where her own early activism is featured in a fourth floor museum display.
This presentation will take place on Human Rights Day. The CMHR will offer free entrance and we will be joined by the Manitoba Human Rights Commission as our co-hosts. Everyone is welcome.
