Dear Stephanie,
It was my great pleasure to speak with you a moment ago about sponsoring the Chinese New Year event. On behalf of the 2005 Utah Chinese New Year Celebration Organizing Committee, I would like to express our sincere appreciation to you and the Wells Fargo Bank for your consideration of sponsoring the Year of Yiyou Rooster (year 4702 by Chinese calendar) celebration activities. Every year, the Chinese New Year celebration is the largest event of 20,000 Utah Chinese together to celebrate our proud culture and heritage.
One of the most significant highlights of the celebration activities is to organize a wonderful showcase of Chinese traditional musical, art and dance shows performed by many Chinese artists. The show always receives the highest attention not only by the local Chinese from China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, or elsewhere in the world, but also by many other communities as well. Many state and local government representatives also enjoyed this community event. This year, the celebration performance, together organized by 15 Chinese organizations, will be held at 6:30 PM, the University of Utah Kingsbury Hall on Saturday, February 5, 2005. On the same day from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, another performance and Chinese culture exhibit will be held at the Salt Lake City downtown main library.
Any amount of donations to the celebration is heartily appreciated. However, a sponsor, whose donation is greater than $300, will be listed on the performance program and publicity information following an order of donation amount. A telephone number may be attached to the sponsor’s name upon a special request. A special appreciation for tThese sponsors on the program list will also be presented appreciated in the Eastern Trends (the only localUtah Chinese news paper) after the celebration. In addition, a number of VIP tickets to the performance at the Kingsbury Hall can also be reserved upon request.
All donations will be in check payableto ETCCSA (Eastern Trends Chinese Community Service Association, TX ID 87-0643852, and 501(c)(3) status) with a specific payment note for Chinese New Year Celebration. The mailing address is as follows: Eastern Trends, Inc., 1734 So. Major Street, Salt Lake City, UT 84115.
I look forward to hearing from you soon. Please feel free contact me at 538-7056 should you have any questions.
Sincerely yours,
Hao Zhu
