MEETING HIGHLIGHTS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

Gary Cotta thanked DAN PANERO and TOM McINTOSH for filling in for him when he’s been gone. He also thanked KIRK HESSLER for the fine job he did on the Progressive Dinner. It was a wild success and he’s sure that we’ll have future events like that. He also thanked the STONEBRAKERS, PANEROS , BYNUMS and his wife for allowing the dinner to proceed to their open houses. Gary made available brochures to the International Conference coming up in Los Angeles. He hoped that many would attend the convention for it’s not too often that it is this close to home. At this point, we were all still standing for the Flag Salute when Gary called on BERNIE LeBEAU to give a report on the Derby Dinner. DAN PANERO reminded Gary that he still had to have the Salute and the Invocation and he asked if were going to stand through the whole meeting. Dan mentioned in his Invocation that he was glad to have Gary back albeit a little confused. Bernie finally gave his report saying that we still need auction items and be sure to let them know about tables and special arrangements.

We initiated three new members today; TRACY LEACH, sponsored by Ira Cohen, SHARON ADAMS sponsored by Sheri Horn-Bunk, and KEVIN SILBERBERG sponsored by Chris Frazier. They all presented with their Badge and Rotary Packet and all the members are encouraged to get to know them.
