Guidelines for using the system

To log in, open your internet browser and go to: (you don’t need to type in … and definitely don’t type www). This is what you’ll see:

To refer a new client, click on . This will take you to the initial page of the online referral form.

You will also be reminded of the Ready for Work client eligibility at this point. You will be asked to read through the criteria and tick the box to say your client meets this. If your client does not meet the criteria described they may not be eligible for the programme. In cases like this please get in touch with your local Ready for Work Manager. The criteria will be displayed as follows:

Fill in the required boxes (those with an * by them). “Previous surname” would only be used if the client changed named after being referred onto the programme, this is not applicable to you.

The next page is where the fun starts. The referral form is divided into 9 sections. Once you have completed a page, you must click on . This will take you to the next page. At this point, you may exit the system and continue another time. If you get an error, it is because you have not filled out one of the compulsory fields – the system will tell you which fields are not completed. Fill in everything as accurately as possible.

Under the section “key worker declaration” you are able to upload supporting documents about a client e.g. CV, risk assessments, right to work documents, disclosure letters etc.

Once all 9 sections are completed, you will be taken to the final screen, which looks like this:

If you have additional information to add at a later date – then keep the client registration status in “Draft” form.

You can also download a PDF copy of the application form from this page (with the details automatically filled in). This is for your records (if required).

Your client will have to sign printed copies of pages 7 and 8 (occupational health form and data protection form). However, this will be done at our end, when the client attends registration day.

If you have completed the form and are happy that all the details are accurate, you should select “Awaiting activation” and then click . At this point, your local Ready for Work team will be notified that a client has been referred to them by you and they will proceed with the application. NB. Once “Awaiting activation” has been confirmed, you will no longer have access to the client’s form.

  • Do not reveal your password to anyone else – and under no circumstances allow colleagues to use your account login details to refer clients. To request additional accounts, contact your local Ready for Work team.
  • Submitting a referral using the online system does not guarantee your client a place on the Ready for Work programme.
  • Log out once you have finished using the system.

System Requirements

The application was designed to work with the following internet browsers:

  • Internet Explorer version 7.0 and above
  • Firefox version 2.0 and above
  • Safari 2.0 and above.

Javascript must be enabled in the browser (by default, it is) If it is not, then speak to your IT department, or if you turn it on yourself (see link)
