Important Notes for students who wish to apply for SAAS Part-time Fee Grant(PTFG)

If you take up to a maximum of five papers in session 2014/15 and earn under £25,000, you could be eligible to get some help with your fees for papers at SCQF level 7-10, through a Part-time Fee Grant from the Student Awards Agency for Scotland. For more information and to apply, please go to the SAAS website:

Please note the following points:

  • Only ACCA Fundamental level papers are eligible for this funding. ACCA Professional level papers are not eligible for this funding.
  • This funding is available for eligible courses which start between 1 August 2014 and 31 July 2015.
  • As each ACCA paper is 20 credits, the maximum number of papers that you can take in one academic session is five, regardless of whether the papers are Fundamental or Professional.
  • You can only apply for the funding once in each academic session, therefore you should ensure that your application is for all the modules you think you may take over the full academic year, from 1 August 2014 and 31 July 2015. If you are starting in Trimester A, you need to include details of the papers that you will take in both Trimester A and Trimester B. Students starting in Trimester B can apply for the SAAS part-time fee grant in Trimester B.
